Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems Administration, and/or related field or equivalent experience, plus 2 years of related experience or Master's degree.

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Mobility Management Admin. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:Consults and collaborates with business leaders, end users, IT staff, vendors and other third parties and is involved in every phase of an application throughout its lifecycleTheir responsibilities include job automation, running batch jobs, running SQL scripts, reviewing logs, system and application monitoring, maintenance, patch management, software upgrades, file transfers, backups, incident/problem troubleshooting and supportPerforms operational support responsibilities including application maintenance, application configuration and performance tuning, account management, installation of software upgrades, user support, and systems monitoringEnsures that the application layer is optimally configured for seamless integration and operability with OS, database, middleware, network, Web services, and other interrelated technological componentsEngages with the various teams to - performs application health checks to ascertain application accessibility, server availability, capacity planning, monitor scheduled job, batch jobs, systems alerts, upstream/downstream feed statusResponds to incident tickets, user inquiries and services requestsAnalyzes and triages defects/issues, plans and manages releases and migrations in different environments Monitors system alerts, system utilization thresholds, capacity utilization on servers etc.Understands a broad range of customer's requirements, expectations and operational imperatives for their mission success and translates those business drivers and needs into requirements and actions for continuous enrichment of the user's experienceMonitors and enforces compliance of regulatory requirements like Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and corporate information security policiesThis includes ensuring appropriate documentation for system configuration, change control, access control, and system logsWorks with the application vendors to obtain in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of the vendor's planned changes, existing problems and known errors, corrective action and work around alternatives, and technical support capabilitiesPerforms other duties as directedModerate business travel required KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Strong experience supporting critical application software (local, network installed and SaaS) to include troubleshooting, research, ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, and maintain procedural documentationWorking knowledge on server architecture and understanding of virtualization technologies, storage systems, enterprise security practices, and replication technologiesCurrent application administrator or other related technical certification indicating a degree of appropriate foundational knowledge is preferredExperience as a developer, systems integrator, systems engineer, solutions architect, or similar, strongly preferredKnowledge of development languages, platforms, and tools preferredClear understanding of SQL scripts and other scripting languages, and experience with batch automation and automation toolsExhibits rudimentary knowledge on how IT solutions are constructedConsiderable track record showing ability to develop relationships and formal and informal networks to influence, coordinate, communicate, and organize groups/teamsExposure to Information Technology (IT) development, operations, or equivalentConsiderable familiarity with common software tools including MSVisio, MS Excel, and MS ProjectDemonstrates personally accountable behavior and shows initiative and enthusiasm on assignmentsStrong oral & written communication skillsSolid experience developing solutions to a variety of problems of narrow scope, using established proceduresA history that demonstrates a willingness to change ideas or perceptions based on new information or directionSPECIFIC MOBILITY SKILLS AND DUTIES:
Working knowledge of maintaining, configuring, managing policies, and troubleshooting the BlackBerry UEM or similar application.
Working knowledge of iOS and Android device usage and troubleshooting.
Eagerness and ability to learn new tools and skills including Android Enterprise and ZTE, Samsung KNOX and KME, Mobile Threat Detection.
Comfortable finding solutions proactively including knowledge article and documentation review.
