Responsibilities:

  • Prep, set-up and provide service in all areas of food production
  • Assist Kitchen Mgr./Chef d'Cuisine in all aspects of food preparation

Requirements:

  • Active Food Handlers Card
  • Previous kitchen/cooking experience

Duties:

  • Establish daily personal work priorities and execute them efficiently
  • Prepare daily menu items and specials in conjunction with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Supervise Prep Cooks and communicate with wait staff
  • Be aware of any product shortages and report to Kitchen Mgr/Chef d'Cuisine
  • Make sure all opening and closing duties are finished and executed according to schedule
  • Make sure food presentation and plating is according to restaurant standards
  • Assist the Chef d'Cuisine/Kitchen Mgr in all of their duties
  • Ensure that the kitchen is clean and cutting boards, knives and work stations are sterilized
  • Maintain highest food quality and kitchen standards
  • Assist Kitchen Mgr/Chef d'Cuisine with maintenance of temperature logs for refrigerator units

Skill Set:

  • Excellent Knife and Plating Skills required
  • Ability to communicate with all kitchen and wait staff
